I love all portraiture, but there is something so special about capturing the bonds in family. We are all familiar with the phrase "time flys' and it is all the more apparent with younger children. The changes seem to come along so swiftly too quickly certainly. The difference of just a year in small children makes the biggest difference. When you come to my studio in Edinburgh I'll take time with your family. I am not a high volume studio. I don't book sessions back to back. I've chosen this approach so I am not time pressured. I can work great under pressure, but some of my smaller models need time to warm up to their surroundings and me. I'm patient with children and have lots of strategies to help ensure we get the best out of your family portrait session. ​

Research shows that displaying artwork around the home helps with a child's sense of belonging and family. It can help with their self esteem too. The kind of portraits I love to produce in studio are
